The Dimmick Retreat is a residential treatment home serving
males ages 11 to 18. The average stay in this treatment program is 18 months to 2 years. Staff in the home help the
youth with meeting goals related to their individual treatment needs. Youth attend local middle and high schools and are involved
in community projects and functions that will help them to develop the skills they need to be integrated back into their communities.
In the home, the youths learn a variety of independent living skills and social skills while learning how to appropriately
interact with other peers and adults. In the Dimmick Reatreat, youth participate in everyday household operations such
as chores and cooking meals. All youth receive individual and group therapy with a licensed clinician, as well as family therapy.
The staff in our facilities model healthy family living through utilization of the Teaching Family Model. The goal of
the model is to extinguish destructive behaviors and teach constructive behaviors based on the social norms of the community.
KPCCC also provides therapeutic services to youth in the form of individual and group therapy.
